I have been thinking recently that it’s getting to that time when I should assemble the salient moments

of my wonderful and gratifying life, methodically in one place.
If I wrote an autobiography, for my family, friends, and anyone who would be interested in reading it – and it could be my next book, perhaps volume one - then the chapters that I would include would address these following significant moments, memories, tears and laughs – but not necessarily in this particular order.
Why write it? It would be another tome to leave behind to share with others or simply to stir the memory and enjoy.
My best friends are silly sausages.
Don’t hide behind diplomacy. Just be truthful and say what’s in your heart. Or, diplomatic answers say nothing.
Women are wonderful, but blondes can melt me away.
A chauvinist and a gentleman.
Blue eyes are beautiful; green eyes are gorgeous.
The police escort out of Lakes Entrance.
Only a few things would change if I had my life again.
A luxuriant moustache, frothy beer and cappuccino.
Adventure and travel flow in this Sagittarian’s veins.
Vodka, red wine, a business-class seat and my intravenous machine.
Coffee is the elixir of my life.
I would drive a thousand miles to get what I want.
Trivial jokes and laughter; nostalgic music and tears.
Monash University – great years!
Cancer is an acquaintance, not a friend.
I surround myself with people who like me, and whom I like.
The Seventies – a magic decade.
Rude anecdotes are good for my heart.
I love to draw, and to write. I love to create.
This True-Type font was to be ‘Cavalier’, a reflection of my sense of humour. When it’s not cavalier, it’s wicked.
